I mentioned that we live in a little, stone house in a mostly abandoned village. I tell our guests, with a bit of black humor, that I have the best neighbors in Brela because they are mostly diseased. Excuse my dark humor. We purchased the house about 12 years ago and the renovation rivaled Under The Tuscan Sun. There was no electricity, running water or even an inside staircase. You had to access the top floor by going outside. I will not bore you with all the travails, but if you come on tour, we do have an informal get together at our little, stone house and you can see for yourself what the house and village look like. I am enclosing some pictures of the village and some wonderful doors you’ll find in our quiet little village.
